My first blog post!

Hi Everyone!  

Thanks for checking out my new blog. I'm a bridal hairstylist from Hoboken, NJ, and I also happen to own a blowout bar - Up & Out blowout + updo bar. The main idea of this blog is obviously the "I do" hairdo, but I may sneak in a few other aspects of beauty, hair, weddings, and all things pretty.

Taking pictures of hair is hard work...

So, lately I've been busy looking at other pro's take pictures of hairdo's.  What's the lighting like?  What's the background of?  What essentially is the best (or one of the best) setup, to take a great hair picture.  Sometimes with darker hair it's hard to see the dimension.  Blonde hair can look great even if the style is not that impressive.  These things have been driving me nuts. So, I caved in and bought a new camera.  And, began experimenting... Your standard blowout taken at the salon. Dimension on dark hair. Purple hair in low light. I'm liking where this is going.  Hey, you have to start somewhere.

On-location, means Bermuda...yes!

Is this real life? I had the ultimate pleasure styling hair in beautiful Bermuda.  Elizabeth and Josh's beachside wedding at The Reefs in Bermuda, was a day and a night to remember.  Take a look at some of the action shots the photographer took, as well as the beautiful bridal party.  I am beyond excited to share them!
